RAILWAY BUDGET 2014-15

           

            12 NEW TRAINS TO KANYAKUMARI DISTRICT

The BJP government has announced 12 new trains for Kanyakumari district in this Railway Budget, presented by Sad. Gowda.

The following trains are to be launched with effect from 1^st September for the people of Kanyakumari district:

1)      Chennai Egmore – Nagerkovil Nanjil Express (Daily)

2)      Kanyakumari – Rameswaram Dhanushkodi Express (Daily)

3)      Puducherry – Kanyakumari Pudhuvai Express (Daily)

4)      Palani-Kanyakumari Velavan Express (Daily)

5)      Velankanni-Kanyakumari Annai Express (Via Thanjavur-Karaikudi-Aruppukottai) Daily

6)      Tiruchy – Kanyakumari JanShatabdi (Except Tue)

7)      Chennai Central-Nagerkovil Garib Radh (Daily)

8)      Kollam-Nagerkovil DEMU (Except Sunday)

9)      Kanyakumari-Punalur DEMU (Except Sunday)

10)  Nagore - Kanyakumari Daytime Fast Passenger (via Karikudi-Pudukottai) Daily

11)  Kanyakumari – Tirupaty Jansadharan Express (Tri-weekly)

12)  Kanyakumari – Chidambaram Natraj Express (Tri-weekly)

Increase in Frequency:

            1) Mumbai CST– Kanykumari Express (From biweekly to 6 times a week)

            2) H.Nizamuddin- Kanyakumari Thirukkural Express (From biweekly to 4 times a week)

            3) Howrah-Kanyakumari Express (From weekly to Triweekly)

            4) Kanyakumari-Jammutawi Himsagar Express (from weekly to triweekly)

Extension of trains:

1)      Tiruchy-Nellai Day Express extended upto Kanyakumari

2)      Mayiladuthurai-Tirunelveli Fast Passenger extended upto Nagerkovil

3)      H.Nizamuddin-Madurai Sampark Kranti extended upto Kanyakumari

4)      Kollam-Thiruvananthapuram Passenger extended upto Kanyakumari

HMM... THIS IS WHAT THE BJP CANDIDATE MUST HAVE DONE FOR THE PEOPLE OF

KANYAKUMARI WHO VOTED FOR BJP.

The highly educated (100% literacy) people of Kanyakumari voted for National Party, and 30% of the voters even voted for Congress – despite the fact that the Congress abetted the killing of 2 lakh Hindus & Christians in North Lanka.

Let these people of Kanyakumari learn the hard way about the national parties who never mind about the welfare of South people. The Dravidan parties will atleast DO something if we vote for them BUT not these National parties.

WEEKLY EXPRESSES

Indian Railways has a fad called weekly expresses.

There is a weekly train between
Pondy = Delhi
Rameswaram - Coimbatore
Pondy - Kanyakumari
Chennai-Manamadurai
Mumbai-Kanyakumari
Tiruchy - Thanjavur Passenger (????) on Saturdays only
Pondy-Howrah
Rameswaram-Okha (where is it)
Madurai-Dehradun
and list is endless

Problem is - we can search through internet.
What about the common man? The unreserved compartments are not filled
in many of these trains due to poor awareness among the poor.

Instead of 7 weekly trains why not launch a single daily train?
But who cares about common man?
